Lottie is the owner and director of Everything Movement and a wholistic movement educator – a Master Teacher in Dance, Functional Movement and Somatic Practices. She believes that “you are how you move”.

Studies began at an early age and still continue. The dance program at Grant McEwen and The University of Alberta provided foundations for a career as a professional dancer. Lottie performed with the University of Alberta’s Orcheses and The Alberta Contemporary Dance Theatre, a professional performing and touring dance company.

Her education continued with a degree, with Distinction, in Collaborative studies in Dance, Kinesiology and Dance Education from the University of Calgary, as well as years of subsequent professional studies at home and abroad in a variety of methodologies, including Pilates, GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®, Yoga, Restorative Exercise and Neuro Science, a brain-based approach to movement performance.

Through the Everything Movement Studio, Lottie works with a client base that is as diverse as she is; many are high level athletes that seek Lottie’s assistance to gain the cutting edge they need to advance in their sport that the latest scientific research provides. Others are referred to Lottie to assist with injury rehabilitation or long-term physical conditions.

Through a unique partnership with the Alberta Dance and Drama Academy, Lottie also instructs a variety of levels of dance to adults within the Adult Let’s Move Dance Program, as well as a variety of non-equipment movement classes.

As a result of her extensive and diverse experience, Lottie has created what her students have come to know as a unique and extraordinary instructional experience for those of all ages and abilities.

Kim Solomon Skrypnychuk at Everything Movement Pilate and Dance Studio in OkotoksKim Solomon Skrypnychuk

Kim’s journey with Pilates began nearly 20 years ago following a life-changing tumbling accident. After seven years of enduring significant back pain caused by the accident, she learned she had a herniated disc and degenerative disc disease (Osteoarthritis). After trying countless unsuccessful treatments, a physiotherapist suggested Pilates and after just three classes, she experienced a breakthrough that led her to vow one day to become a Pilates instructor.

She began her Pilates studies through Pilates Core Integration, a comprehensive, all-equipment, internationally recognized certification program, and has been teaching for almost 10 years at Everything Movement.

With a passion for helping people discover the power of movement and guiding them towards their own healing and strengthening journey, Kim is adamant while Pilates can be both therapeutic and healing, it can also be the most challenging and intense of workouts! One of her favorite quotes: “Pilates, it sounds cute, but there ain’t nothing cute about it!”  – Sylvester Stallone
